Imaging plus function.
In one chart.
Orthopaedics lives between an X-ray and a movement plan. MediSero+ embeds the DICOM viewer in the visit screen, captures ROM and pain as structured numbers, and pre-builds the post-op cadence for TKR, THR, ACL, and fracture follow-up.
Six places orthopaedics gets specific.
Universal core (voice notes, Rx, queue, billing, patient app) plus the six items below — all auto-loaded the moment you tag your specialty as Orthopaedics.
Six post-op cadences, pre-built.
Each protocol is a chain of follow-ups with the right Rx, X-ray cadence, ROM target, and physio milestone at each step. Tap once at sign-out — the next year of care is staged.
All cadences default to evidence-based intervals (AAOS, NICE). Override per patient if your protocol differs.
Imaging open. ROM captured. Plan in seconds.
From the moment the patient sits down to the moment you sign the note — every step is on one screen.
The DICOM-in-chart was the convincer. I used to flip between PACS and the EHR every consult — that's 20+ context switches a day. Now imaging is just there. ROM is just there. The post-op cadence sets itself up. I get half an hour back.
Ortho-specific questions, answered.
Can I view DICOM (X-ray, MRI, CT) inside the chart?
Yes — fully inline. Drag in a DICOM file or pull from your PACS via DICOMweb. Window / level, zoom, pan, length, angle, Cobb angle, side-by-side comparison with prior studies. No second app, no cropping screenshots into the chart.
How is range-of-motion captured?
Per-joint structured fields, not free text. Knee → flex / ext / hyperext. Shoulder → fwd flex / abd / IR / ER. Spine → flex / ext / lat-flex / rot. Numbers go straight into the chart and into a trend graph, so you see the recovery curve at a glance.
Do you have post-op protocols?
Yes — pre-built for TKR, THR, ACL recon, rotator cuff, fracture follow-up. Each one is a cadence: post-op day 1 → 2 weeks → 6 weeks → 12 weeks → 6 months → 1 year. At each milestone, the right Rx, the right X-ray, the right ROM target, and the right physio milestone are pre-loaded. Override anything per patient.
How does physio referral work?
One-tap referral. The packet includes surgery date, procedure, weight-bearing status, ROM goals, precautions, and a copy of your op note. If your physio is also on MediSero+, they get a shared chart and log session notes back. If not, they get a structured snapshot via secure link.
Is DVT / VTE prophylaxis built in?
Yes. On any post-op patient the system runs a Caprini score, suggests appropriate prophylaxis (mechanical, LMWH, DOAC, ASA per recent guidelines for THR/TKR), schedules duration (typically 14–35 days post-op), and flags missed doses. You override per patient.
Can patients log home recovery (ROM, pain, walking)?
Yes — the patient app prompts post-op patients to log their daily VAS pain score, their ROM (with a guided how-to-measure), and their walking distance. You see the trend on their next visit, and the system flags concerning patterns (pain spike, ROM regression).
